Candidates will demonstrate the ability to plan one or more units of study that meet the curricular recommendations for the National Science Education Standards. This unit(s) should address the diverse goals of the standards and the needs and abilities of students. Within these unit plan(s) candidates should also design multiple assessment tools and strategies that are aligned with the methods of instruction and needs of students. The multiple assessments should be used to guide and modify instruction, the classroom environment, or the assessment process. Finally, the results of the assessments should be used as a vehicle for students to analyze and reflect on their own learning and work.
