"I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright." ~Henry David Thoreau
I have received a Bachelors of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences and a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences from Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech). I received my M.A in Secondary Science Education from a nationally recognized program and am proud to say I have a Virginia State Teaching License, a state with some of the highest requirements for aspiring teachers. I now have a Florida State Teaching License.
I received my MS at the University of Florida studying Molecular Genetics. My interests will forever lie in nature (especially animals!) and teaching. Teaching is a passion of mine because it requires dedication to learning and striving, not only for yourself, but for others. Teaching is a humbling profession, but a high calling. If I am a successful teacher, my students will be inspired to learn more than I ever have.
